| I'm back at Marquette. But here's where you ask "but why, Liz, are you posting at 2 something in the morning when you don't party at college and the school residence hall curfews are at 1 am?"
Well my kind readers, that is because we have a freaking snow storm and I made the mistake of trying to take a limo (a student transportation system). Now the limos are a great service but, as it was 1 am when I got on and school has not started yet (officially), there were no vans on the road and the streets of downtown Milwaukee are not yet plowed. Also, nearly 97% of the student population chose tonight to get drunk and stumble across the busy streets of Milwaukee, risking their lives for a few drunken hours of fun before they failed their second semester classes.
All these factors combined, I ended up on the limo for an hour talking to my boyfriend's drunk roommate, making small talk with the only sober person on the van (the driver), and being amused at the whole situation while silently praying that I would not die in some horrible snow-storm caused car crash.
In other news, it's so great to be back. I cleaned my room of all my first semester stuff and bought my books. I watched "the game" while setting up my room. Yay. I'm going to put on my warm pajamas and watch some TV before going to sleep. I'm going to sleep in tomorrow (yay!) and figure out whether my res. hall is serviving food.

| So my parents made me go to the doctor today. Well, basically an E.R. type place except it was just a quick care because I've been experiencing near blackouts and vertigo that has been getting progressively worse for the past month or two.
It ended up being one of those "it is probably this" (in this case extreme migranes) "but you should really see a neurologist." So I am going to do that within the next two weeks or so, hopefully. Lovely. I love having something wrong with my brain. Yes!
Okay, I'm done. I have homework to do.
| Alright, I'm running for VP of my residence hall council and I need a snappy slogan to put on my poster. I've been racking my brain and, maybe due to the 6 hours of homework I just did, my brain is fried and yelling "leave me alone". Problem is I should have my posters made by tomorrow.
Anyway, I thought it might be fun to see what you all suggested for campaign slogans. And I'll make it a game/competition... except the winner won't win anything except my gratitude and a copy of the poster if they so desire.
So, can anyone think of anything?
| So today was my first day of classes in college. It wasn't that bad. I actually had fun in math because I *gasp* understood what I was being taught. And adorable Matt is in that class, which does not hurt. English should be fun, but I don't know if I'll like my teacher, his voice is really annoying when he says "umm", which is often. Spanish is going to suck, as far as I can tell. My teacher thinks she'll be able to turn us "anti-spanish"ians. Chemistry I'm not sure on, except that my teacher has a super annoying voice... when he's saying anything. Biology sounds fun. My teacher seems awesome and it's basically review for me. Yay.
Homework... I had five hours worth tonight. No joke. ICK! And I'm not done, but that stuff is not due until Wednesday, technically. But I have a RHA meeting tomorrow and choir auditions and I promised I would go out with Tim who I have been neglecting. =(
This past week is like a blur. So much went on and people are crazy at Marquette. I got invited to an all girls margarita party, have played Ultimate frisbee, hung out with a Kelly look alike for most of the time, went to a convocation for the class of 2010 where the words "let us pray" were said (it was just new for me), among other things. Oh, and the Chinese Garden on Wells rocks.
Anyway, I'll be at faire two days this weekend, hopefully three. Oh, and someone on myspace sent me this. How cute is it?
Would I be conceited if I said "awwww, how cute" about myself?

| I leave for college in less than nine hours and I have no clue what I am wearing. Okay, maybe that's not my biggest issue right now. It's so weird. Nine hours and I will be on my way to my new home. Sure, it's not my real home but it will be my home for a few months. So freaking weird. It is true that I don't know what I am wearing though. I have two outfits and there are plusses and negatives with both. Arg.
I do not know. Bleh. This is so weird. Next time I write in this it will be from my dorm room. Ack. Okay, I need to go to sleep.
Oh, I got a digital camera yesterday. Yay. So I'll post pictures of my room. Speaking of pictures. Check out this one of me and Cassie. It's adorable.
Peas in a pod we are.
My dad said that when we're in costume Cassie and I look like we're practically twins because we're the same size and I look younger than I am and she looks older than 13. Haha, amusing. Yep. Cute picture.
I'm done. | | |
